Terms and Conditions of Entry

1. Eligibility

1.1 The South African Agricultural Awards (“the Awards”) are open to individuals, organisations, cooperatives, enterprises, and institutions operating within the agricultural value chain in South Africa.
1.2 Entrants must be legally registered where applicable and compliant with South African laws and regulations.
1.3 Employees of the Awards organisers, adjudication panel members, and their immediate family members are not eligible to enter.

2. Categories

2.1 Entries must be submitted in the appropriate award category as outlined in the official Awards call for entries.
2.2 The organisers reserve the right to move an entry to a more suitable category where deemed necessary.

3. Entry Requirements

3.1 All entries must be completed in full and submitted via the official entry platform or as instructed by the organisers.
3.2 Supporting documents, evidence, and information provided must be accurate, truthful, and verifiable.
3.3 Incomplete, late, or illegible entries may be disqualified at the organisers’ discretion.

4. Closing Date

4.1 Entries must be submitted by, 31 March 2026, the official closing date as communicated by the Awards organisers.
4.2 Late submissions will not be accepted.

5. Judging and Adjudication

5.1 All entries will be assessed by an independent adjudication panel appointed by the organisers.
5.2 The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into with the entrant.
5.3 The organisers reserve the right not to present an award in a category if, in the judges’ opinion, a suitable standard has not been met.

6. Verification

6.1 The organisers reserve the right to verify any information submitted, including conducting site visits or requesting additional documentation.
6.2 Failure to cooperate with the verification process may result in disqualification.

7. Finalists and Winners

7.1 Finalists will be notified prior to the awards ceremony.
7.2 Winners will be announced at the official South African Agricultural Awards ceremony.
7.3 Prizes, where applicable, are non-transferable and not redeemable for cash unless otherwise stated.

8. Use of Information and Publicity

8.1 By entering, entrants grant the organisers permission to use their names, logos, images, and submitted information for publicity, marketing, and promotional purposes related to the Awards.
8.2 No additional compensation will be payable for such use.

9. Disqualification

9.1 The organisers reserve the right to disqualify any entry found to be in breach of these Terms and Conditions or to contain false or misleading information.
9.2 Disqualification may occur at any stage of the Awards process.

10. Changes and Cancellation

10.1 The organisers reserve the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time, with notice where reasonably possible.
10.2 The organisers reserve the right to postpone, amend, or cancel the Awards should circumstances beyond their control arise.

11. Limitation of Liability

11.1 The organisers shall not be held liable for any loss, damage, or injury arising from participation in the Awards or attendance at the awards ceremony, except where required by law.

12. Acceptance of Terms

12.1 Submission of an entry constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
